FAQ

  • The Sunday worship service at Pathway Church begins at 10:00 A.M. and generally concludes between 11:30 and 12:00.

  • We have no dress code, and encourage all people to come as they are. Nearly every Sunday you will see people dressed in clothing ranging from shorts and t-shirts to business casual to formal attire.

  • We meet in an old building, with stairs immediately inside the front doors. For those who prefer to avoid the stairs, a ramp is available on the left (North) side of our building, and can be easily accessed by driving through the parking lot, turning left behind the building, and then left again to park on the Northside of our parking lot.

  • Communion, also called the Eucharist or Lord’s Supper, is a symbolic act of Christian obedience and a celebration of the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. All those who are faithfully following after Jesus Christ are welcome to join us in this weekly celebration.

  • Our worship services begin with 30 minutes of Scripture and singing. The sermon follows and lasts between 30 and 60 minutes. After the sermon we celebrate communion together, sing a closing song, and receive a benediction. We encourage everyone to linger for fellowship before and after the service.

  • Pastor Curtis coordinates the musical worship of the church each week, using a piano and accompanied by drums, a bass guitar, and vocalists. The music is drawn from the wide history of the church, from ancient hymns to contemporary songs, with a focus on the doctrinal content of the lyrics and the singability of the melody. The purpose of the musicians is to help the congregation sing, and we encourage everyone to sing enthusiastically.

  • Due to our commitment to Expository Preaching, we believe that it is helpful to use essentially literal translations of the Bible, which maintain as much of the original wording and style of the original text as possible. Most of the preaching at Pathway is done from the English Standard Version.

  • We believe that children are a blessing from the Lord, and they are welcome in our worship services. Crying, playing, and fussy children are common occurrences, and the church is very grateful for them. Toys, crayons, and a nursing mothers’ room are available.
